That is because any consumer moves from awareness to sales by following 4 steps. Awareness leads to Inquisitiveness which leads to Desire which after some time translates into an Intention to possess the brand. Which leads the consumer to Acquire the brand which culminates into Sales for the marketer. This six step journey inspired AIDIAS (pronounced Ideas) whose initial promise was to "help the marketer manage this funnel better".
